RETURN POLICY
Deepam Silks Return Policy
Products can be returned only in the following two circumstances:
- You received a product that is defective or damaged
- You received a product different from the one you ordered because of a mix-up online
In both the situations, the following conditions have to be fulfilled:
- Products should not have been worn and/or used.
- Every product must be returned with tag, invoice and packing material intact.
- All claims for returns will have to clear an assessment made by the quality control manager.
- Return request will have to reach us within 3 days of the receipt of the product.
- Cost of shipping of returned products will have to be borne by the customer.
Important:
No requests for return or refund will be entertained for customized products. Customized products CANNOT be returned.
How it will work…
In case of a refund:
- We receive your returned product.
- Our quality control team scrutinizes the product to assess if all return conditions are fulfilled.
- If the quality control team approves, the refund claim is processed within 4 working days.
- You will be informed via email confirming the transfer of credit to your account.
In case of a replacement…
- We receive your returned product.
- Our quality control team scrutinizes the product to assess if all return conditions are fulfilled.
- If the quality control team approves, the refund claim is processed within 4 working days.
- You will get a credit note, which can be encashed within 6 months from the issue date.
Disclaimer for Colour and Description
No matter how good the photograph, it is, after all, not the real product. And as a result, it is likely that colours look different in the photographs from what they actually are in reality. Several factors, including the settings of the device on which you view the photographs might impact the way the colours appear in online photographs.
This is especially true of the following shades:
- Blue, green, orange, pink and purple
- Dark colours like black, deep blue, dark brown
- Pastel shades like white, off-white, cream, grey
- Deepam allows a return only if the product is damaged or defective and the return request to be raised within 2 days of receiving the product by contacting customer care.

Deepam Silks was founded in 1972 by M. Chandrashekar and family, carrying forward generations of expertise in silk weaving and craftsmanship. What began as a modest 400 sq. ft. store on Commercial Street soon became known across Bangalore for authentic silks, exceptional colour selections, and unmatched quality.
In the early years, customers across the city would visit Deepam looking for the perfect saree, whether it was a timeless Kanjivaram, a vibrant cotton weave, or the exact shade they had been searching for. Deepam quickly became known not just for silk, but for trust, curation, and craftsmanship.
In 1981, Deepam moved to MG Road, a turning point that transformed the brand into one of Bangalore’s most iconic silk destinations. Over the decades, the brand expanded while staying rooted in the values it was built on, authenticity, quality, relationships, and service.
Today, Deepam Silks serves customers across India and around the world, continuing to preserve the artistry of Indian weaving while evolving with modern elegance and timeless craftsmanship.
