Step-By-Step Guide To Mastering Traditional Saree Draping Style

Start with the petticoat

The petticoat is worn underneath the saree, and it provides a base for the saree to be draped on. Tie the petticoat firmly around your waist to ensure that it stays in place.

Drape the saree over the petticoat

The next step is to drape the saree over the petticoat. Make sure that the saree is aligned with the ground and that the pallu (the end of the saree that drapes over the shoulder) is on the left side of your waist.

Tuck the saree into the petticoat

Tuck the saree into the petticoat, starting from the right side of your waist. Make sure that the pleats are even and of the same width.

Make the pleats
